Since Cannon Law was established, we have always tried to limit our caseload to ensure every client receives the attention and care their case deserves. Sam Cannon built the firm around the principle that the more time invested in a case, the better the result. Cannon Law has earned a strong reputation in the legal community. Our case results, both at settlement and trial, are excellent, reflecting our ability to both develop cases to present to a jury and persuade the insurance companies we face on the other side that they should settle our cases rather than challenge us in court. In addition, our attorneys are respected in the legal community, leading to Sam Cannon being elected by his colleagues to serve as an officer of the Colorado Trial Lawyers’ Association, the largest specialty bar association in Colorado. After his election in 2020, Sam served as the organization’s treasurer, secretary, vice president, and president-elect over
the next 4 years. Finally, in 2024 and 2025, Sam served as CTLA’s president. During his time with CTLA, Sam engaged in legislative fights with the insurance industry, securing the largest increase in damage caps in Colorado for 40 years alongside many other legislative victories protecting Colorado consumers.
