About Cannon Law

At Cannon Law, we are committed to delivering personalized, results-driven legal representation to individuals in Fort Collins and throughout Colorado and Wyoming. Since our founding in 2014 by attorney Sam Cannon, we have worked tirelessly to help individuals stand up against large corporations and insurance companies to get back on their feet after being injured. Our mission is simple: provide compassionate, focused, and effective legal advocacy that puts the needs of our clients above all else.

Our History and Mission

Since Cannon Law was established, we have always tried to limit our caseload to ensure every client receives the attention and care their case deserves. Sam Cannon built the firm around the principle that the more time invested in a case, the better the result. That’s why we are highly selective in the cases we accept, only taking on those we truly believe in.

Cannon Law has earned a strong reputation in the legal community. Our case results, both at settlement and trial, are excellent, reflecting our ability to both develop cases to present to a jury and persuade the insurance companies we face on the other side that they should settle our cases rather than challenge us in court. In addition, our attorneys are respected in the legal community, leading to Sam Cannon being elected by his colleagues to serve as an officer of the Colorado Trial Lawyers’ Association, the largest specialty bar association in Colorado. After his election in 2020, Sam served as the organization’s treasurer, secretary, vice president, and president-elect over the next 4 years. Finally, in 2024 and 2025, Sam served as CTLA’s president. During his time with CTLA, Sam engaged in legislative fights with the insurance industry, securing the largest increase in damage caps in Colorado for 40 years alongside many other legislative victories protecting Colorado consumers. 

Ultimately, at Cannon Law, our mission is to give a voice to the injured and empower our clients by helping them navigate a legal system that often favors powerful corporations.
